Renewable Energy

January 2024 Renewable Energy is derived from natural sources that are constantly replenished. These sources include solar, wind, hydropower, biomass, and geothermal. There are many benefits to renewable energy utilization such as cleaner air, lower carbon emissions, climate change mitigation, revenue from electricity generation, and new job creation. However, there are challenges such as the high initial cost of installation, lack of grid infrastructure, and lack of policies supporting renewable energy development. The Paris Agreement aims to reduce the global temperature rise below 2°C by 2050, requiring a clean energy transition and supporting sustainable development goals.

In this slideshow, you will learn about the definition, types, benefits, challenges, UN policy, and global statistics of renewable energy utilization. Discover how new energy technologies can reduce global carbon emissions, accelerate the clean energy transition, and meet net zero emission goals by 2050.
